About Our Practice
Our office is conveniently located on 118 Hospital Street and is accessible via all major roads. The office is a stand-alone building across from the old hospital and is nestled within a scenic neighborhood. Most dental rooms have windows which enjoy natural sun light and calming outdoor views.
We are proud of our office, which fully utilizes state-of-the-art equipment. We have a modern sterilization system that surpasses OSHA requirements. The source of water for our dental units is distilled water (bottled water), which removes any chance of contamination from regular tap water that is used in most dental offices.
Our friendly and competent staff is dedicated to patient comfort and quality care. We provide the best and latest in dental technology and treatment options. We provide gentle, family-oriented dental care to the adults and children of this community. Our team emphasizes comprehensive quality care and preventive dentistry. With many dental offices to choose from, we consider it a compliment for a patient to come to us. As a result, we take it as a personal challenge to provide the quality and comfort which they deserve.
The best dental office I’ve ever been to. The staff are very friendly and attentive to your comfort and any other needs. It’s always a pleasure to get your teeth cleaned too!

A message from Dr. Rivers:
“I love dentistry and feel very blessed to be in this profession. I enjoy people and being able to help them gives me a great sense of reward. My practice philosophy is very simple. I approach each patient with complete honesty and conduct my work to the best of my abilities. I have always said that each patient is unique and their treatment should reflect that. A treatment plan should never be a “once size fits all” approach. My goal is to first get to know each patient and understand the vision they have for their teeth. We can then, together, move forward with making that vision a reality. We live in a small and tight knit community. If you were to ask around you would find that one of the common observation about our practice is the sense of family we have among the staff and our patients. We show patients the same dignity and compassion we would want for ourselves. By practicing these values daily, I can go home every day from work knowing I have done my best to make my patients healthy and happy.
There are numerous aspects of this profession that I love. Dentistry is a dynamic field. There is a constant evolution in materials, methods, and technology. I find it important to maintain a current knowledge of all these things. I do this by taking continuing education courses, participating in study clubs, and attending multiple seminars each year around the country.
Perhaps the thing that I love most about this field is the friendships that I have made and will continue to do so at your service.”

My name is Donna. I've lived in Mocksville most of my life. I'm married and have a son and two fur babies.
My name is Rose and I am on my 14th year at this office. I absolutely love my job so I feel that I'm never really working! My goal is to make each patient feel both comfortable and at ease. I'm a WV girl, and yes, we invented the toothbrush!
My name is Kayla and I've been a dental hygienist here since 2019. A few of my favorite hobbies include traveling to new places, going to concerts, spoiling my golden doodle, Kobe, and spending quality time with my family and friends. My favorite part about being a dental hygienist is helping people improve their self confidence by giving them the smile they deserve!
Hi, I'm Amy Wood. I've been a hygienist in this building for 24 years. If you schedule with me, you may hear me gush about my 4 year old granddaughter or one of my fu-babies as well as my current DIY home projects. I'm originally from the Eastern part of the state so my husband (Davie native) and I also love to escape to the coast.
Hi, I'm Donna Rouse, a lifelong Davie County girl. My dental career started back in 1977 w/ Dr. Prillaman and though I've worked at other offices, over 4 decades later I feel like I'm back home and glad to be here at Rivers Family and Cosmetic Dentistry. I hope to be here until I retire.
My name is Destiny and I am new to the dental field as well as Rivers Family and Cosmetic Dentistry! Asking questions is something I might be seen doing around the office. I do this to learn new things that help me offer exceptional care to patients. I am happy to call Mocksville my home! I have lived here my whole life. When I’m not at work you can find me walking trails with my fur baby, somewhere in a kitchen or relaxing with family and friends.
