About Our Practice
Our office is conveniently located on 118 Hospital Street and is accessible via all major roads. The office is a stand-alone building across from the old hospital and is nestled within a scenic neighborhood. Most dental rooms have windows which enjoy natural sun light and calming outdoor views.
We are proud of our office, which fully utilizes state-of-the-art equipment. We have a modern sterilization system that surpasses OSHA requirements. The source of water for our dental units is distilled water (bottled water), which removes any chance of contamination from regular tap water that is used in most dental offices.
Our Mission
Our friendly and competent staff is dedicated to patient comfort and quality care. We provide the best and latest in dental technology and treatment options. We provide gentle, family-oriented dental care to the adults and children of this community. Our team emphasizes comprehensive quality care and preventive dentistry. With many dental offices to choose from, we consider it a compliment for a patient to come to us. As a result, we take it as a personal challenge to provide the quality and comfort which they deserve.
The best dental office I’ve ever been to. The staff are very friendly and attentive to your comfort and any other needs. It’s always a pleasure to get your teeth cleaned too!

Following his graduation, Dr. Rivers moved to NC to be closer to his family.

Favorite past times include hiking, boating, or simply playing in the back yard with their dog, Charlie. Their favorite destination is Lake Martin, AL, the location they were engaged and later married.
A message from Dr. Rivers:
“I love dentistry and feel very blessed to be in this profession. I enjoy people and being able to help them gives me a great sense of reward. My practice philosophy is very simple. I approach each patient with complete honesty and conduct my work to the best of my abilities. I have always said that each patient is unique and their treatment should reflect that. A treatment plan should never be a “once size fits all” approach. My goal is to first get to know each patient and understand the vision they have for their teeth. We can then, together, move forward with making that vision a reality. We live in a small and tight knit community. If you were to ask around you would find that one of the common observation about our practice is the sense of family we have among the staff and our patients. We show patients the same dignity and compassion we would want for ourselves. By practicing these values daily, I can go home every day from work knowing I have done my best to make my patients healthy and happy.
There are numerous aspects of this profession that I love. Dentistry is a dynamic field. There is a constant evolution in materials, methods, and technology. I find it important to maintain a current knowledge of all these things. I do this by taking continuing education courses, participating in study clubs, and attending multiple seminars each year around the country.
Perhaps the thing that I love most about this field is the friendships that I have made and will continue to do so at your service.”
Dr. Christopher Ioan
We are very excited to welcome Dr. Ioan to the practice. He provides a great blend of top-notch clinical education and knowledge with a strong passion for providing community-based care.
Dr. Christopher Ioan was born and raised in Lincolnton, NC. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC in 2009. After graduation, he worked for many years in the dental field as a dental lab technician, fabricating dentures and partials for patients. From there he moved to South Florida where he received his Master’s in Biomedical Sciences from Barry University in 2017. He then returned to NC, receiving his Doctoral degree at the Adams School of Dentistry at UNC-Chapel Hill in 2021. While in dental school, Dr. Ioan was awarded the Dwight Clark Memorial Award. This is the highest award presented by the Spurgeon Dental Society for sensitivity to the needs of patients and classmates.
Dr. Ioan and his family reside in Clemmons, NC. He met his wife, Kelli, while attending school at Appalachian State and they were married in 2014. Kelli is a registered dietitian working with patients who require acute clinical care in the hospital setting. Dr. Ioan and Kelli have two children, their son Hudson, and daughter Madelyn. When out of the office, Dr. Ioan enjoys hiking in the Appalachian mountains with his family, hunting, fishing, golfing, and woodworking.
“Growing up in the western foothills of NC, I learned that family means everything. That being said, treating patients as if they are family in my chair is something that I find very important. I want my patients to feel at ease knowing that they will receive the same level of care and skillful planning as if it were my mother or father in the chair.” Along with care and compassion for patients, Dr. Ioan brings to the office his clinical expertise in cosmetic dentistry, digital dentistry, and dental surgery.
Dr. Ioan is a member of the American Dental Association, The North Carolina Dental Society, The Academy of General Dentistry, and the Winston-Salem Spear Study Club.

Meet the Team

Ashley Goodnight
Office Manager
Hi, I'm Ashley!. With over 10 years in the dental field, my goal is to make sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes so our patients can focus on their smiles. From scheduling and insurance to keeping the team organized and the office running efficiently, I handle the details that keep our days on track.
I’m passionate about creating a warm, welcoming environment where patients feel at ease and confident in their care. I love working with a team that truly puts people first, and I take pride in making sure every visit is a positive one—from the first phone call to check-out.
When I’m not at the office, you’ll usually find me spending time with my husband, and son. I love being outdoors, listening to music of all genres, and reading.

Sabrina Moore
Scheduling Coordinator
Hi there! I’m Sabrina, and I’ve been passionate about dentistry since the very start of my career. I spent almost four years working chairside as a dental assistant before finding my home at the front desk. I love being the first friendly face patients see when they walk in, and helping them feel completely at ease. Educating patients about their oral health and giving them the tools to keep their smiles healthy is one of my favorite parts of the job.
When I’m not at the office, you can usually find me with my husband and our little crew of two dogs and a cat (they definitely keep life interesting!). I love spending time outdoors hiking, unwinding with yoga, baking something delicious, tending to my garden, or playing a game of softball.
I feel lucky to work with such an incredible team, and I’m proud to be part of a practice that treats every patient like family. I can’t wait to meet you and help make your visit a positive one!
